I always hope for a ‘wow’ moment when a client comes to see me for a reading. Those moments that make us say “Wow, I needed to hear that”, or “That really resonated with me” or “How on earth did she know that?” (I love when that happens!!!) Those moments often happen and I feel like they are a gift from spirit to you. However, those moments are not something I can guarantee will happen for you, or in every reading. Sometimes what comes through in a reading is psychic fluff, or psychic dust, or just psychic stuff.
Here is how I believe this all works…
We are all essentially energy. We are vibrational, energetic beings, and our energy vibrates to a specific frequency here on planet Earth. Religion refers to that energy as a ‘soul’. Science refers to it as energy. I’m not interested in fighting with anyone on this; your soul and your energy are essentially the same thing.
So, when a client comes into my reading space, they bring their energy and also an energy field. The energy field surrounds your energy, like a halo. That is where I can see things, or sense them. Sometimes I get a smell or a sound. Sometimes I just know. It could be the energy of loved ones who have passed on or your spirit guides… Sometimes your loved ones will deliver a message and those are special moments! Sometimes though, there is energetic fluff or dust in your energy field.
Energetic fluff consists of the things you give your attention to...
Energetic fluff can reflect the people you interact with and the things you do; the things you did last week, and the things you are going to do next week (but you haven’t done it yet, so it may not make sense). There isn’t always a message attached to it. Sometimes the name of a co-worker you have just been talking about shows up, or a friend’s dog you just saw shows up, or your boss, or a car you’ve had your eye on, or a place you are thinking of visiting, a friend you just spoke with on the phone. If it is something you have given your attention and energy to, it may remain in your energy field. When this happens, there often is no message attached to it. It’s just there. It can often be very validating, regardless of whether or not there is a message.
Sometimes it just takes a few hours, or weeks or months to manifest. I always recommend that my clients record their readings on their phone. We cover a lot of ground in a reading, and with a recording, they can listen afterward, in the quiet of their own time. Many of the pieces of fluff or dust that show up in a reading take on a greater meaning after some time passes.
A married couple came to see me last year, and they each booked a private appointment on the same day but at different times. He came in first, and during his reading, an energy identifying itself as ‘Andy’ came through. When I asked him who Andy was, he had no idea. No one in his life, living or dead, was named Andy. I didn’t think much of it and carried on. We did not figure out who Andy was in his reading.
A few hours later, his wife came in for a reading, and during the channeling part, the ‘Andy’ energy came in again. She didn’t know who it was either. We carried on, and we did not identify who this ‘Andy’ energy was in the reading.
This couple (I learned after) was trying to sell their business. When she called me a few days later, she told me that her lawyer had called as she was leaving her reading and that an offer was coming through for the business. The offer was coming from a man named Andy.
There wasn’t a message attached to that. The energy was just there, floating in both of their energy fields. Sometimes, we are not supposed to know all the answers. The journey is sometimes in the experience of anticipation, and in figuring it out on our own.
We are all psychic, and understanding how the energy works, how our intuition works, and how energy shows up for us is key to helping us figure out how to use it, and get the most out of our reading.
